The Personal Trainers Association “PROPTA” online courses consist of an online component, which directs you through a series of learning experiences to help you understand and use the course content, and a variety of supplemental resource materials, including printed texts, PDFs, Web-based software, CD-ROMs, and DVD-ROMs. (These vary by course, and not all courses include supplemental resource materials.)
The online component is not just printed material transferred into digital form. It gives you an opportunity to interact with the course subject matter in a way that will facilitate your learning. Many of our courses use virtual mentors to walk you through real-life experiences that require you to learn and apply the concepts featured in the course. We develop our courses by teaming up the best content experts with our instructional designers to create a powerful learning experience for you.
Our customers use our courses for a variety of reasons. They may use the courses for precertification as they study to prepare for a certification exam from a professional organization in their chosen field. Customers also may use our courses for postcertification continuing education from many professional organizations that require this type of ongoing learning after an initial certification is received. For each of our courses, you will see a notation indicating how many credit hours have been granted. Many of our courses are appropriate for course adoption by college and university faculty.
Finally, our courses can be taken for professional and personal development. Even if you are not required to take a course for CEUs or college credit, you will find a range of topics and skills that you can learn through our courses.
